STAN MUNRO builds whole cities out of toothpicks.
He openly admits he's crazy and denies the label of being an artist. But if this isn't art, than what the hell is.

STEVE BACKMAN has been making some publicity waves of his own with his unique brand of toothpick artwork. His work is beautifully crafted and making its way around the country. I can see an entire home decorated with his artwork. Come and view his work.

JACK HALL built replicas of musical instruments out of matchsticks. So precise were these instruments, that they could actually be played in perfect tune. Amazingly, Jack had no musical experience and did not know how to play the instruments himself. Glen Campbell played on of them and was impressed by the tone and styling of the accoustic guitar he made. Jack passed away over a decade ago, but his musical instruments live on and are still being played. If you can't believe it, check out these two links given to me by his son Tony.

Phil Rice is also an abstract toothpick artist. He makes sculptures of faces and whole bodies. Kind of like a spider web of toothpicks. Real cool stuff.

HEAVY MENTAL is the band that I am in. When I get press for my ships, I try to get the band some publicity. Toured England in 2003, and we put together the Chicago FreeFest, which was a free live Chicago music event that ran from 1990 to 1995. Mayor Richard Daley, personally shut the event down. Thanks Dick. But, we had a the SMASHING PUMPKINS play, which was our claim to fame. MP3s and photos a plenty are available.
