Dear Rogers Park Presbyterian friends, We have sad news to share. Our dear friend Elder Miriam Pukalo died. Her funeral will be at the Methodist Church in her childhood home town, London Mills, Illinois, this Saturday, June 20, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation is at 10:00 a.m. The church office has information and a map on how to get to the London Mills United Methodist Church. We also will have a memorial service for Miriam later in the summer, as arrangements are made in consultation with her family. Miriam Pukalo was a member of the Rogers Park Presbyterian Church since 1971, and served on the session for three different terms, including the present. She was our assistant treasurer for more than twenty-five years. She was recently honored as our Woman of the Year. We give thanks for the life and Christian witness of Miriam Pukalo. We mourn our loss of her and pray for her family as we entrust her to God’s everlasting embrace and care.
